69-year old man’s semi-trailer was rear-ended “at freeway speed” by a semi-tractor & trailer while stopped in a construction zone causing a concussion with loss of consciousness, post-concussion syndrome, a rotator cuff tear, partial tear of the biceps tendon and whiplash.
A 28-year old woman was knocked down by a running dog which resulted in a tibial plateau fracture of the right knee and a lipohemarthrosis and popliteal cyst resulting in the placement of a tibial plate, four 3.7 locking screws, two 3.5 distal nonlocking cortical screws and a bone graft.
43-year old man sustained an aggravation and acceleration of a pre-existing infection of the right total hip arthroplasty components and injuries to his neck, low back, and both knees. In addition to the physical injuries, he developed anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic symptoms as a result of the crash when another tractor-trailer rearended his tractor-trailer on the highway.
46-year old woman was side-swiped while driving 65-MPH and sustained a central disc herniation of L4-5, producing severe spinal stenosis and moderate right neural foraminal stenosis as well as left eccentric disc bulge of L5-S1 and central disc bulge, L3-4.
68-year old woman was hit when the other driver failed to stop at an intersection. She sustained a closed head injury resulting in memory issues as well as injuries to her ankle, knww, lower back , pelvis and right clavicle.
