18-year old man was a passanger in a semi when it went off the road and overturned ejecting him from the cab. He sustained a left inferior femoral head dislocation, a transverse fracture of left distal fibula diathesis and fracture involving the medial malleolus, a displaced chip fracture of left anterior humeral head, and aspiration pneumonitis of the bilateral lower lobe. He sustained a left hip fracture, broken left leg and ankle.
The operator of a side-by-side ATV attempted an unsafe maneuver that caused the vehicle to tip over onto the passenger’s side. Our client was the restrained passenger and sustained severe injuries to his dominant arm. He experienced a long and difficult recovery, which included months of physical therapy and he will require additional surgery to reduce the appearance of residual scarring.
