Nick Maxwell’s work focuses on complex civil litigation with emphasis on personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and defense of property insurance and coverage claims. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he received the Outstanding Clinical Student Award from the Clinical Legal Education Association. As a law student he worked as a Student Director in the University’s Civil Practice Clinic; Judicial Extern in the 1st Judicial District; and was a Public Service Program Honoree. Prior to law school Nick was a Citizen Assistance Analyst in the Consumer Division of the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office. He earned the Gieske Award in Political Science and Scholar of the College honors as an undergraduate at the University of Minnesota Morris where he served as Student Representative to the Board of Regents and graduated with Distinction. In 2017, after 21 years of honorable service and two deployments in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and New Dawn, Nick retired from the Minnesota Army National Guard at the rank of Major. He currently serves as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America programs.
